Journal of Social Policy (JSP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing critical scholarship on the design, implementation, and impact of social policies worldwide. We publish original research, theoretical reflections, and policy analyses that address the pressing challenges of welfare, inequality, governance, and human development in diverse sociopolitical contexts.
Founded on the principle that robust social policy must be informed by rigorous evidence and inclusive dialogue, JSP serves as an interdisciplinary platform where scholars, practitioners, and policymakers engage across boundaries of discipline, geography, and ideology.
Our journal welcomes contributions that examine social policy from a variety of perspectives, including but not limited to:
• Public health and healthcare systems
• Education, housing, and social security
• Labor, migration, and demographic change
• Race, gender, and inequality
• Environmental and digital governance
• Comparative and international policy studies
We are especially committed to amplifying voices from the Global South and to publishing research that reimagines justice and equity in social provisioning.
